Monday 29th August to Friday 2nd September 2011
You are cordially invited to take part in a residential retreat for approx. 70 young Sikhs who wish to take steps in personal, spiritual and practical development. The Retreat will provide a forum to develop professional skills which can be transferred to the work we do in our communities and provide activities to inspire and re-energise ourselves spiritually.
The Retreat is taking place from the morning of Monday 29th August to the afternoon of Friday 2nd September 2011, and is being hosted in Wiltshire, South-East England.
This Retreat aims to provide us with an opportunity to focus on Simran, Vichaar, and personal & professional development. Alongside deeper experiences, exploration and discovery, there will also be a chance to relax and enjoy treks in the beautiful hills and valleys of this unspoiled part of Wiltshire.
We hope that this week will allow you to?
? Reinvigorate yourself through Simran, stillness and Keertan.
? Discuss and debate various Sikhi related areas
? Share and develop relevant leadership skills
? Spend time enjoying and having fun in the Sangat of other Sikhs
Style ? The Retreat will consist of a programme of activities including creative workshops, dialogues and open forum discussions. In addition to these, other interactive sessions will take place informally, and parts of the Retreat will also take place outdoors. The theme for this year is “SIKHI SURVIVAL SKILLS”, and there will be an emphasis on developing those skills which generations before us had but we may lack; and this Retreat will provide an opportunity and platform to develop these skills.
