We are proud to announce the “Sikh Mental Health and Wellbeing Conference” to be held on 25 April 2012 at the Guru Nanak Gurdwara Bedford.The conference will be an awareness raising event and will explore issues surrounding the Sikh community and mental health.
The conference will stress the importance of understanding mental illness and address the stigma, taboos and prejudices that exist. We hope that other faith organisations and communities will be able to apply the learning and best practice from the conference to their own mental wellbeing.
