March for Mothers
March for Mothers is a sponsored interfaith walk for Health Poverty Action taking place on 17th March 2012 at Greenwich Park.
We hope to raise awareness of the 340,000 women who die each year in pregnancy and childbirth whilst raising funds to help save the lives of mums and babies in some of the world?s poorest countries.
The event is being run in conjunction with the Tony Blair Faith Foundation -it will bring people from different faiths and backgrounds together based on their common values of safeguarding life and supporting those in need.
March for Mothers is a high profile event which will be covered by media and will be attended by the Mayor of Greenwich
It is for everyone: mums, dads, children, aunties, uncles and friends. Walkers can opt for a 5K or 10K distance and the route is over easy ground.
