Come join us at Lalkaar, the Jakara Movement?s 13th Annual Collegiate Conference, this summer in Sacramento!
This year, Lalkaar will focus on Building Begampura: Confronting Caste. Join Sikhs from throughout the United States to discuss issues and labels that continue to tear our Qaum, Gurdwaras, and even Pariwars apart. Lalkaar has provided a forum to discuss such issues for over a decade now, and hopes to have you participating and contributing ideas to the discussion at this year?s conference!
Lalkaar provides great networking opportunities for young Sikhs to form durable bonds to the community. The conference will begin on Thursday, June 21, 2012 and will run through Sunday, June 24, 2012. Participants engage in the conference curriculum during the mornings and afternoons, leaving such activities as bowling, laser tag, picnics, ice cream socials, and a formal banquet for the evenings.
