Free for everyone, from 2pm
This festival celebrates Eid-ul-Fitr, the Islamic holiday marking the end of fasting for Ramadan.
Trafalgar Square?s Eid Festival will showcase a range of entertainment reflecting the diversity, culture and languages of London?s Muslim communities.
The main stage will feature live folk music, rock bands, a children’s choir and theatrical performances.
The programme will also showcase Nasheed (from the Arabic word Anasheed) singers who draw inspiration for their work from history, religion and current affairs. Traditionally this was an a cappella music form. However the new Nasheed artists use a variety of musical instruments and sing in many languages.
There will also be exhibitions of art and culture, including fun for the whole family, souvenir stalls and a chance to sample traditional Eid festive food.
All are welcome to attend Eid Festival, which has grown to become one of London?s cultural highlights, attracting crowds of over 25,000 people.
