Dance : Bharatanatyam

An emerging Bharatanatyam artiste from Singapore, Dhriti Vaidyanathan was trained in the Kalakshetra style at Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (SIFAS) by Guru Minal Merai.? Additionally trained under Guru Padmashri Adyar K Lakshman and Guru Mahalakshmi in Chennai, Dhriti completed her diploma examination in Bharatanatyam? in June 2008 securing a distinction and has been awarded Natya Visharad by SIFAS. She completed her IB diploma program from the UWCSEA Singapore. Currently an undergraduate student of the University of Arts, London, she is training under Anusha Subramanyam at present.

Since 2002, Dhriti has performed regularly at the annual SIFAS Academy Day celebrations, held in Singapore.? Performing regularly at the Chennai festival of music and dance in December every year, she has several solo performances to her credit in India, Singapore, Indonesia and USA under the guidance of Gurus Minal, Adyar Lakshman, Mahalakshmi and Anusha.? Dhriti was recently featured as a Bharatanatyam dancer in the regional advertising campaign of DBS Bank, Singapore, which telecast across six countries in the Asia Pacific region.
