Dr Onkar Sahota – Labour Party politician who has been the Member of the London Assembly for Ealing and Hillingdon since 2012. He has been a practising GP in West London since 1989 and maintains GP surgeries in Hanwell and Southall serving some 12,000 patients. He also holds an MBA from the London Business School, having attended the John F Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
Dr Julie Siddiqi– Executive Director of the Islamic Society of Britain. She has been working in a voluntary capacity locally and nationally leading on various projects focused on engaging the Muslim communities in the UK for over 18 years. She has a particular interest in working with people of other faiths and in empowerment of women at the grass roots.
Kamel Hothi – Business & Community Director at Lloyds Banking Group. She has over 32 years banking experience and has had a varied career in all sectors. She is recognised for developing the Asian Strategy across Lloyds Group and has a passion for diversity.
Shabir Randeree CBE – Executive Chairman of DCD Group with over 25 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate, Venture Capital, Finance and Banking. He is also the Deputy Chairman of Al Baraka Bank South Africa and a founding director of BankIslami. Shabir was awarded a CBE in HM The Queen’s New Year’s Honours List 2013 in recognition of his services to both business and education, as well as for his philanthropic support of charitable causes.
