Presented by Shaunaka Rishi Das, Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies (OCHS)
The CHN continues its OCHS talks series with a discussion on the influence of thinking from the Indian subcontinent on others in the east, this time in conjunction with the Deloitte Hindu Network.
The influence of thinking from the Indian subcontinent has pervaded throughout the east, spreading throughout the far-east including China, Thailand and Cambodia and as far as Japan over the centuries.?This undoubtedly influences the way we do business today with the rise of India and China as economic superpowers. This event offers an insight into how the beliefs and value systems of the east might translate into the business philosophies of the future.
Shaunaka was the keynote speaker at the launch event of the Deloitte Hindu Network nearly two years ago, where he spoke about the “Rig Veda and the Credit Crunch.” The event was a huge success and the speech was published as an article in Business Week India. You can read it?here.
