 
Central London welcomes the Year of the Dragon in spectacular style on Sunday 29 January with Chinese arts and free entertainment from international and home-grown artists, food, firecrackers and much more.
Celebrations start at 12 noon with a special ceremony in Trafalgar Square followed by world-class dance, music and acrobatic performances from China.
Nearby, a specially decorated London Chinatown will host cultural stalls, food and lion dance displays. Shaftesbury Avenue will meanwhile become ?Hong Kong in London Chinatown? with a stage featuring performances by local Chinese artists.
The London Chinatown Chinese Association organises the capital?s Chinese New Year celebrations with support from the Mayor of London, Westminster City Council, Chinese Embassy, Cathay Pacific and the Bank of China.
