In December 2011 I lost a dear friend to the war in Afghanistan.
He left behind a lovely young wife and two beautiful baby boys. His parents lost their son, his siblings lost a brother. His friends lost a ‘one of a kind’ mate.
To honour his memory, his wife will be climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in August and is aiming to raise £10k for the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund (RMCTF). The RMCTF helps families of fallen service men and women, and were there for my friend during her darkest hour.
To help her reach her goal I am hosting a Charity Dinner and Dance on Saturday 27 July, 7pm – midnight at Passage to India, 300-310 High Road, Ilford, IG1 1QW.
£25 per head, includes 3 course meal & entertainment.
100% of the proceeds are going to the charity.
