Akhand Japa Retreat
we are happy to present to you a Japa retreat that will be held from the 24th – 28th August, 2011, in conjunction with Amrit Naam Sarovar (France), Sikh Student (UK), and the Nihang Singhs (Int). The retreat will be in the beautiful mountains of the French Alps.
This camp will be unique as it will bring together many people from different parts of the globe to come together to meditate. Food will be prepared through…out, and natural spring water is available for drinking and washing.
Day one will consist of settling in, there will be workshops explaining the various Shakti mantras of the Tenth Guru, yoga, and evening bhajans.
On day two is the main purpose of the retreat, the Akhand jaapa, a 48 hour recitation of Shakti mantra of the Tenth Guru. This mantra will be emailed to you, so you can recite it everyday to prepare for the event.
The camp will conclude with a celebration!
Cost is ?199 including transport or 150 Euro. People will leave from UK on Monday 22nd August and return on Monday 29th August. This will include a stop over in Paris.

About the Japa retreat
On Wednesday August 24th to the Sunday June 28th we invite you to join us in an experience of personal transformation. In ancient cultures the rectitation of a mantra or japa is an opportunity for harmonius metomorphisis, by utilising this meditative gate way in time. No place is better than mother Earth and her healing vibrations. Living in the womb of nature allows a detox from the mental, physical stresses of these times, to re-centre. Combined with organic foods, yoga, meditations, and use of sacred food, this time can let the true experience of the self shine through. In this gathering of new people and new forms this is an opportunity to open the heart, and provide a strong back-bone for prosperity for the rest of the year.

The mountains and the natural spring water source are the ideal place for this gathering.
