Invitation to Labour Friends of India Women’s Community Engagement Forum
Guest of Honour: Yvette Cooper MP, Shadow Home Secretary
Tuesday 29th of January 2013, 6-8pm
Attlee Suite, Portcullis House, Westminster, London, SW1A 2LW
We are pleased to invite you to our ‘Women’s Community Engagement Forum’. This will take place in the Attlee Suite, Portcullis House, on the 29th of January 2013. We will have Labour’s Shadow Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper MP and Seema Malhotra MP in attendance. Refreshments will be provided.
The event will provide an opportunity to discuss the policies and issues that are important to you as a female member of the Indian community. The Labour Party wants to find out what your priorities are so that we can better reflect your concerns and ensure that there is continued engagement between the community and the Labour Party.
The first event was attended by Ed Miliband MP, Leader of the Labour Party, who listened to the concerns and priorities of the community and answered questions for two hours.
Promoted by Labour Friends of India, the ‘Labour Engagement Forum’ will be a unique opportunity to have your say on the way the Labour Party interacts with the community and it promises to be an enjoyable evening for all. The event is from 6-8pm on the 29th of January in the Attlee Suite, Portcullis House. Please arrive at 5:30pm at the entrance on Victoria Embankment (main entrance to Portcullis House) to allow enough time to get through security. The nearest tube station is Westminster.
If you are available to attend, please RSVP to Amarit Bains at amarit.bains@lfin.org, as soon as possible, or call 0796 142 0287, so that you will be able to join us. Please feel free to extend this invitation to a friend.
