Campaigning and Advocacy Training for 20 Young People
INFACT is an amazing opportunity for 20 young people to be trained in campaigning and
advocacy skills, and run your very own campaign in your community. Tzedek and Faiths Act
are launching an exciting and inspirational interfaith campaign programme here in London
to take action against the injustice of gender inequality and tackle global poverty.
People of faith have had vital involvement in ending some of the greatest injustices
in history from the abolition of slavery to the recent Make poverty History campaign.
Campaigns are about ordinary people doing ordinary things with extraordinary results!
Whether you?re interested in a future career in International development, feel passionate
about interfaith collaboration or want to make a difference fighting extreme poverty, this
could be the right programme for you.
You will be trained by expert speakers, and over 8 weeks will build a campaign focusing on the empowerment of women and eradicating poverty.
Through this programme you will:
? Gain vital experience of how to create and run a campaign. Including gaining skills in campaigning, social media, presentation and public speaking.
? Gain leadership and teamwork skills.
? You will be supported to implement a campaign in your community until June when we will celebrate your work on your campaign.
? Meet other like minded Londoners who are passionate about ending extreme poverty!
INFACT will launch with an Induction Day on February 5th to start UN Harmony week,
followed by weekly sessions every Wednesday from 7pm-9pm at the JHub in West
Hampstead, for 8 weeks.
The whole programme is free.
The programme is open to volunteers aged between 16-25. No prior experience is necessary; we are looking for people who are enthusiastic and passionate about the cause. The programme will easily fit alongside full time work or study.
You need to be available for all the sessions (see above)
